The legendary Footballer, Kanu celebrates his birthday today.
Kanu Nwankwo Kanu,was born on1 August 1976. He hails form the Eastern part of Nigeria.
The Ex- Super Eagles international captained the senior national team for 16 years from 1994 - 2010.
The former Arsenal/ Ajax forward won the following during his football career:
- UEFA Champions League medal
- UEFA Cup medal
- Three FA Cup Winners Medals
- Two African Player of the Year award .
He played for top clubs such as; Inter (SerieA), Ajax (Eredivisie), Arsenal (England), Portsmouth (England), West Brom (England).
He played a total of 404 match appearances and scored 98 goals in club football.
He retired in 2012.
