Over Hundreds of Stray Dogs Poisoned in Asia

In the government's effort to control the population of strays that attack  people every year, over hundreds of dogs were poisoned.


According to a report from a popular blog, Karachi’s Jinnah Hospital last year treated over 6,500 people who were bitten by dogs. While this year,  3,700 cases of dog bite has been recorded, Dr. Seemin Jamali, head of the emergency room confirmed.

Also, Culling of dogs with the use of  poison tablets which were hidden in chicken meat has rose criticism from the animal rights activists in Pakistan.
