RIO 2016: 19 Years Old Wins First Gold In Olympics

19 years old Virginia Thrasher won the first Rio Olympics gold medal in the shooting on Saturday.



She won in the women’s 10m air rifle title at the Deodoro shooting venue, as she saw off China’s Du Li.

Thrasher  finished with 208 points, one ahead of  2004 Athens winner Du.

Defending champion from China won the Bronze Yi Siling.
