Senate President, Bukola Saraki,revealed the house is set to investigate the circumstances that lead to the delayed departure of the Dream Team VI to Rio for the Olympics.



Flashback that The Dream Team VI touched down in Manaus, Brazil five hours before their opening match against Japan on Thursday.

The Senate President wrote on his twitter page: “Congratulations to the #Dream Team for the 5-4 win against Japan#Rio 2016. #Thank you Delta for making it possible for them to make the match.

“Senate Committee on sports chaired by Senator Obinnna Ogba will look into the embarrassing situation that happened to the Dream Team V1.

“When minister of finance appeared in the senate three weeks ago, we raised the issue and she assured funds were released.”

Samson Siasia and his men will play Sweden on Sunday in their second match.
