Mob beats up suspected robber who stole N500,000 from supermarket in Abuja

360 GP gathered he met his waterloo on Friday after he  invaded a supermarket at Jeremia Usani Junction, Gwagwalada, Abuja, with his accomplice.

It was reported that the robbers successfully stole a sum of N500, 000 and were about to take with their motorcycle when a female sales attendant raised the alarm.

His accomplice fled, Illiasu fell off the motorcycle and an irate mob pounced on him.

The Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in charge of Gwagwalada, CSP Jimoh Gbenle stated that the suspect was in police custody.

“Investigation is ongoing and he is assisting the police with information on how to apprehend the fleeing member of the gang.

“The money was recovered from the suspect,” Gbenle added.
