360 GP has learnt that winners of the 2015/2016 Nigeria Professional Football League,NPFL,season will earn N40million, the League Management Company (LMC) has announced.
All the19 clubs in the NPFL will share a total of N200million, after Giwa FC were expelled for breaching the rules of the league.
A statement from the LMC explained that “in addition to the direct payments clubs do also benefit from other indirect payments such as free registration of players and officials, free insurance, payment of match officials’ indemnities and hotel accommodation as well as sponsored seminars and other engagements funded by the LMC”.
Enugu Rangers are close to lifting the title on Sunday after 32 years of waiting as they seat on top with 60 points.
