Universities in Nigeria have released the cut-off marks for the admission into their institutions for the 2016/2017 academic year.
Earlier, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, (JAMB) had announced to the universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education would use 180 as their cut off mark for admission.
JAMB cut off mark is now a summation of a candidate’s jamb score and post jamb score; which are both divided into two to get an aggregate score.
The Prospective medicine students of the Nnamdi Azikwe University (UNIZIK) are expected to score 293 while those interested in studying nursing must have score 272.5.
Law is 254. while the courses with the lowest cut-off marks are botany, quantity surveying, Agric and bio-resource; which are 190.5, 175 and 172.5 respectively.
Obafemi Awolowo University, (OAU), JAMB cut off mark is 200 for all subjects and courses.
Law is 254, medicine 270.5, while international relations, public administration, and local government studies are among the courses with a cut-off mark of 200.
Abia State University (ABSU), has medicine as the course with the highest cut-off mark at 240.
Accountancy is 200 while French, Igbo and philosophy are 160, 180 and 180 respectively.
Meanwhile, University of Ilorin’s medicine and nursing is 240, Law is 220 while engineering, mass communication, business administration are 200.
Languages and education courses and many others have a cut-off mark of 180.
