Breaking Gist: Akeredolu emerges as Governor-Elect of Ondo Election

The result of the Ondo state governorship election has been released by the Independent and  National Electoral Commission,INEC.

The Chief Returning Officer, Prof. A. Ambali, announced the result today, November 27, around 11am.

According to The Punch Reports, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has emerged as the winner of the qhuch was held on November 26.

INEC has revealed that 17 out of the 18 Local Government Areas in the state,  Akeredolu won 14 of the LGAs, the Peoples Democratic Party led in two LGAs while the Alliance for Democracy won.

Meanwhile, result still being awaited is from Ilaje LGA. But  Returning officer has announced that the results are still being compiled.
