Egypt cancels friendly with Nigeria| See Their Reason

The Egypt Football Association has cancelled scheduled friendly match with Nigeria.

The Pharos of Egypt were expected to play Super Eagles in January 9th, 2017 in Dubai

But 360 GP has learnt that this friendly has been cancelled because of disagreements with Nigerian authorities on match expenses.

It was gathered that Egypt FA are not willing to bear all the expenses for the match, meanwhile, the FA have gone ahead to fix another match with Tunisia about the same time.

“It has not yet been officially confirmed but it is looking very likely that the friendly against Egypt in Dubai in January will no longer hold,” a top official informed Vanguard.

The NFF, said on Monday, that they have not heard from the Egypt FA and were still committed to the January date for the match.

“We have not received any message to that effect as at today (Sunday) from the Egypt FA. I don’t know anything about that,” the NFF General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi, said.
