The Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade,  crowned the winner of Miss Africa pregnant with $25,000 & a brand new car.
Neurite Mendes from Angola,23, on Sunday morning, emerged the winner of the maiden edition of Miss Africa beauty pageant which was organised by the Cross River State government.

She was handed a Sport Utility Vehicle and a cash prize of 25,000 dollars (N11,000,0000) at the grand finale which took place at the prestigious Calabar International Convention Centre.
