Van Persie Suffers Horrific Eye Injury

33 years old Van Persie suffered an eye injury playing for Fenerbahce against Akhisar Belediyespor in league on Sunday.



The former Manchester United forward was stretched off after colliding with a defender.Van Persie was later spotted been carried off the pitch with plaster covering his bloodied left eye.


Although, the club insisted that Van Persie had not been badly hurt.


“There was some blood in the pupil. After the first examination, we sent him to an ophthalmologist at the hospital,” said a club spokesman.


“We have been told that the situation isn’t serious. He’s doing well.”

Fenerbahce later went on to win the game 3-1.
