Yaya Toure makes shortlist of BBC African Player of The Year

Yesterday, the five man shortlist for the BBC African Player of the Year nominees have been unveiled.See the list: 

Liverpool’s Sadio Mane

Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez 

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure

West Ham’s Andre Ayew 

Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The shock for moat football lovers was the inclusion of Manchester City out castle midfielder Yaya Toure.

The Ivorian has not featured for Manchester City under the new Spanish manager Pep Guardiola.

Both player, his agent and the manager have broken relationship after Yaya's agent slammed the former Barcelona costs of mal treating his client.

Although, Yaya Toure apologised on behalf of gas agent but Guardiola reaffirms that he will not change his mind.

Yaya Toure expressed his joy of getting a nominee despite not featuring for Manchester City this season.
