igerian girl becomes the first black female president of HLR at Harvard Law School


According to Harvard BSLA, Imelme Umana, HLS become the first black woman to be elected as President of the Harvard Law Review, according to a law review published by an independent student group at Harvard Law School.

The immediate past US President Barack Obama became the first black man elected as HLR’s president in 1990.
