Nigerian Government official's son gets life in prison for murder

yesterday, son of Nigerian government official was sentenced to jail for life after raping and murdering one Jessica McGraa.

Bala Chinda was said to have killed Jessica McGraa few weeks after he arrived in Scotland, for education programme at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.

The 37-year-old, sex worker's body was found in the following day in the bedroom of a flat she rented in the city's Union Terrace.

According to CCTV footage which showed she had travelled to Chinda's place in the city's King Street with him in a taxi before they later returned to her apartment.

According to one Miss McGraa,  made her last call on her mobile few minutes before the surveillance cameras recorded Chinda walking down the street away from her flat.

Yesterday, the jury of eight women and seven men found Chinda guilty of murdering Miss McGraa in the city centre flat.

It was learnt that it took over six hours to reach their verdict.
