Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has been handed a one-match ban after being sent off for a lunging tackle on Lionel Messi in Sunday's El Clasico defeat to Barcelona.
Messi scored a brace as Barca won 3-2 at Santiago Bernabeu.
It was learnt that Real Madrid's appeal against the dismissal having been rejected by the competition committee of the RFEF.
The committee described the foul on Messi as a "violent act" in its ruling.
