2017 FIFA Confederation Cup: Africa Representative, Cameroon Dumped Out By Youthful Germans


Cameroon have been knocked out of the Confederations Cup after a 3-1 loss in hands of Germany.

The Indomitable Lions are the representative from Africa after lifting the AFCON cup in Gabon.

In the 48th minutes, Kerem Demirbay powered a shot after a pass from Draxler.

Hugo Boos side were down to ten men in the 64th minutes after a launching tackle by Ernest Mabouka’s caught Emre Can.

Three minutes after, Timo Werner saw his flying header find the back of the net to put Joachim Low side in driving seat.

Vincent About Akari headed a consolation goal in the 79th minutes for Cameroon.

Timo Werner got his brace on the evening in the 82nd minutes to seal a semi final show down against Mexico on Wednesday.

Meanwhile Cameroon will return home to prepare for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria.
