Fabio Borini has signed for AC Milan from Sunderland, according to Sky Sports.
The fee is understood to be £5.3m for the 26-year-old, who has been with Sunderland on a permanent basis since the summer of 2015.
The Italian, who has one senior cap to his name, began his career at Bologna before moving on to Chelsea and Liverpool, among others, without holding down a regular place at either Premier League side.
He has figured more consistently for Sunderland and made 24 appearances last season, scoring twice and registering two assists.
However, the Black Cats finished the season bottom of the Premier League and are set to field a changed side next seaspm, goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and forward Jermain Defoe having already moved on.
