Michael Owen believes that Chelsea will be the team to beat in the 2017/18 Premier League next season.
Antonio Conte won the League in his first campaign in English football.
Chelsea won 30 games in the top flight on their way towards winning their second title in three years under Conte.
So far the defending Champions have signed Alvaro Morata, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Antonio Rudiger and Willy Caballero to help strengthen their squad ahead of European competitions.
The former Liverpool striker Owen feels that Chelsea will be the clear favourites to retain their title next term.
Speaking in an interview with Metro, Owen said: “At the moment, you’d have to say Chelsea are the team to beat and are worthy favourites.
“They won the league at a canter last season and all the other teams were a fair way off.
“You look at Tottenham, who haven’t really strengthened this summer and are playing at Wembley so there’s some question marks there.
“There’s still a long way to go in the summer window but you’d have to say Chelsea are going to be the team to beat again.”
