Barcelona have agreed Umtiti deal


Barcelona had agreed to sign Lyon defender Samuel Umtiti for €30m.

 Lyon’s president Jean-Michel Aulas announced earlier today that an agreement as been made between both clubs.

Barcelona had already lost defender to Juventus on a free transfer.

Umtiti us currently on national duty with France at the Euros.

The Lyon president further revealed he will not stop the 22 years old defender from joining Barcelona.

Speaking to RMC Sport, Jean Michel said; “We anticipate the eventual departure of Umtiti. Samuel has an exclusive agreement for him to join Barcelona."

“We made a promise that if he could play for the club of his heart, he would leave. It’s part of the commitment which we have made, as was done for Karim Benzema when he went to Real Madrid.

“Right now, Samuel is with Les Bleus and is focussed onthe Euro and the fact that he can play Sunday against Iceland. If the three parties agree, it is possible that he will leave us.”
