These suspected ritualists were apprehended in Ogun state with human bones, 360 GP learnt.The suspects were identified as Wole Oke, 38, and Wasiu Adesina, 30, were arrested on Saturday by police operatives attached to the Oke Itoku Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, CSP Abeni Farinre.
The Police spokesperson, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi,confirmed the arrest,according to a statement made available to newsmen at the weekend, revealed that the duo was arrested at Ijebu, Idi-aro area of Abeokuta, the state capital, by police officers on patrol.
The statement read: “On searching the bag with them, it was discovered that it contained human bones.
“Upon interrogation, one of the suspects, Wole Oke, confessed that they were the bones of his sister who died four years ago.
“He further stated that one herbalist sent him to go and bring it for money ritual purpose.
“The Commissioner of Police in the state, Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered the transfer of the suspects to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIID, for further investigation.
“He also directed that the herbalist mentioned be arrested without further delay,” the statement added.
