Ezenwa ready to replace injured Ikeme against Algeria

Ikechukwu Ezenwa has stated that he's set to take Carl Ikeme’s place as the shot stopper, in the 2016 World Cup qualifiers against this weekend.

Ikeme has been ruled out of match due to injury and Ezenwa has been given the green light of a starter.

“I have understudied Carl Ikeme and I will give my best for my country to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, if I’m opportuned to be in goal,” he told AfricanFootball.

“I’m not under pressure because it’s something I have been doing for some time now and I am confident I will prove myself again.

“We are looking forward to the game. We will all focus and work hard.

“We want the maximum three points because we all know what is at stake”, he added.
